Every year Amnis commits to supporting a charity at Christmas rather than sending Christmas cards to clients and contacts and this year we are delighted to announce that we will be supporting Macmillan Cancer Support.

Whilst the current financial climate is driving a wide range of behaviours in healthcare to try to achieve the massive efficiency gains demanded of the new NHS this cannot be realised at the expense of patient safety. In this time of increased focus on efficiencies however there is a significant probability that those who adopt service improvement methodologies such as Lean will forget that they can be simultaneously used to improve efficiency and not only maintain levels of safety but also significantly improve them.

Amnis is a leading provider of Lean Training support to organisations in the public and private sector and our work goes from strength to strength with an increasing number of clients taking up our award winning training programmes.

For the third year in a row Amnis has been called upon to provide expert input to help judge the Midlands Business Awards that rewards businesses, business groups and individual entrepreneurs based in the Midlands, one of the key UK regions that Amnis is active within.

In response to the recent spending review, Amnis's Mark Eaton, said: “The cuts will trigger the most radical period of transformational change in the public sector that anyone has seen in their lives. There will be fundamental differences in the way services are commissioned and managed with inefficient and non-core activities merged or withdrawn.

The on-going relationship between Amnis and the IHM has been strengthened with the announcement of a further programme of masterclasses to be run for the benefit of IHM members and Amnis’s clients and contacts during 2011, building on the programmes run during 2009 and 2010.

The distribution of masterclasses across England reflect the wide distribution of both the IHM’s Members and Amnis’s customer base, with the programme consisting of six separate events;
